Project Builder Building Works cover has been designed to cater for the needs of individuals carrying out a Self Build project. The policy has generous cover limits which are in our experience more than adequate for the majority of Self Builders (they can however be increased on request).

• Building Works Temporary Works and Materials whilst on site (including in transit there to) - Up to 110% of the sum insured                                                                         
• Plant tools and equipment owned by the insured - £30,000 with a maximum limit for any one item of £10,000                                                                         
• Site huts and temporary buildings and residential caravans - £30,000 with a maximum limit for any one item of £10,000                                                                                                                                       
• Property hired in by the insured - £30,000 with a maximum limit for any one item of £10,000

Where a property is being converted cover can be extended to include the Existing Structure.

A £250 excess applies to all claims under the Property Section except in respect of theft where the excess is £500 and the Personal Accident section where no excess applies.
